This is our ultimate chewy skillet cookie – created especially for the Crumble Classic Skillet and perfected to work with our four-flavour format.

Ingredients

For the Cookie Base

115g unsalted butter, melted and cooled
165g brown sugar
100g caster sugar
1 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
190g plain flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt

For the Flavour Additions

Classic: milk chocolate chips & dark chocolate chunks + sea salt
Miso: 1 tsp white miso paste + dark chocolate chunks
Matcha: 1 tsp matcha powder + white chocolate chips
Gochujang: 1 tsp gochujang paste + chopped dark chocolate

Directions

Preheat your oven to 180°C (fan-forced). Lightly grease your Crumble Classic Skillet with a thin layer of butter or neutral oil.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and caster sugar until smooth and glossy. Beat in the egg and vanilla until combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold into the wet mixture until just combined – don’t overmix!
Quarter 1 – Classic: Fold in a handful of milk chocolate chips and dark chocolate chunks.
Quarter 2 – Miso: Mix in miso paste until streaked through. Sprinkle in dark chocolate chunks.
Quarter 3 – Matcha: Sift in matcha powder, mix gently, then add white chocolate chips.
Quarter 4 – Gochujang: Stir through gochujang paste, then add chopped dark chocolate.
Press each flavoured dough into its own quarter of the skillet. Use the back of a spoon to smooth and define the borders (no one likes a flavour fight… unless you do).
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the edges are golden and the centre is still slightly soft – it will continue to cook in the skillet. Let cool for 5–10 minutes before serving.
Serve straight from the skillet with scoops of ice cream for each flavour, or cut into wedges for the ultimate dessert sampler.
