This is a must-make recipe for when you're craving a solid Maccas run but want to keep things a little healthier. With the addition of protein powder, these will not only satisfy your cravings, but keep you fuller for longer!
Ingredients
- 3 large potatoes
- 1 1/2 tbsp corn starch
-
1 tbsp Flavourless Protein (we used Happy Way)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 egg
- Parmesan cheese + dried chives for garnish
- Oil for frying
Directions
- Peel and cut potatoes into big chunks. Parboil the potatoes in a Crumble Saucepan for 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Once cooled, grate the potatoes. In a mixing bowl add the potatoes, salt/pepper, egg, protein and corn starch. Mix well and make oval shapes. Place them onto a lined baking tray and freeze for 30 minutes or overnight.
- In a Crumble Deep Fry Pan, add oil on medium high heat. Fry the hash brown. Cook each side until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes per side.
- Once cooked remove from pan on a cooling rack. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and chives and enjoy!
